In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Revealed

According to the official release, "A mysterious encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited rituals and terrifying transformations echo through the shadows." The plot presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden sect.

The adventure centers on "strange tests and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Features

Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
